Candle Safety Tips by Olde Chapp Candle Company

Candle Safety Tips by Olde Chapp Candle Company

Candle Safety Tips:

  • Non jar candles are made of wax and can scratch easily--handle with care.
  • Keep all candles in a cool dry environment.
  • Candles are safe when burned properly and responsibly in accordance to the manufacturer's instructions.
  • Keep burning candles within sight at all times.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Never place a candle directly on furniture.
  • Do not burn candles when they get within 2" of the bottom. Continuing to burn can cause dripping or cracks in the jar.
  • Keep out of reach of pets and children.
  • Never leave wick trimmings, matches or other materials in the wax pool as these can create a fire hazard.
  • Remove and dispose of all packaging materials before lighting a candle.
  • Always use a candle holder on a protected flat, non-flammable stable surface
  • Always keep burning candles away from drafts or flammable materials such as curtains, dried flower arrangements, etc.
  • Always keep wick trimmed to 1/8".
  • Keep candles away from other heat sources such as stoves, heaters, etc. These heat sources can cause the wax to melt and drip.
